Red Colored fruit fights wrinkles!

A study done by Ji-Young Bae of Hallym University in south korea has shown a possible wrinkle preventer in red colored fruit. An antioxidant called Ellagic Acid found in these red colored fruits such as strawberries, rasberries, cranberries and pomegranates has been shown to prevent a breakdown in collagen from sundamage. The antioxidant may block an enzyme secreted when skin cells are damaged; that enzyme breaks down collagen in the skin. Scientist exposed mice to UV radiation for eight weeks. To half of the group they applied a daily cream containing ellagic acid. After eight weeks, mice who got the cream developed fewer wrinkles than their unprotected peers. Well you know where i will be in the next few days, that's right at the Farmers Market picking up my red colored fruit and i suggest you do the same. I suggest this not only for the outer affects of these fruit but also for what they do on the inside. Like i have claimed before, beauty starts from the inside and if you feel good on the inside you will shine on the outside. Now lets go get our red colored fruit!

Everything i talk about in this blog is of my own opinion. I am not being paid to state these opinions and if i recieve free product to review i will let you know, and my opinion will be honest. I am an aspiring Beauty Editor so this is my passion. I will only give you the truth!

Juicing for Beautiful skin and a healthy body

Juicing has become a way of life for me. It's a way to get all the nutrients your body needs without having to sit down and eat a three course meal of fruits and veggies. Here are some helpful hints for healthy juicing. For one, make sure your fruit is washed especially apples because these fruits have the hightest levels of pesticides! So you should buy organic apples and make sure you wash them well, organic doesnt mean clean. For glowing skin juice one cup of cucumber, a half a cup of parsley, one small apple (washed and stem removed), four carrots (washed, topped, and tailed) and one half cup of coconut milk or soy milk. Have a salad in a glass by juicing one tomato, a half head of leaf lettuce, two stalks of celery, one carrot, and one half of a red bell pepper. You can even add a little fish oil or flax seed oil to your cup of juice for your Omega3 Fatty Acids, but make sure to add to the cup and not the juicer. You could take the left over fruit pulp and add it to muffins and smoothies. You can also take your vegetable pulp and add it to meat loaf, soups, stews, casseroles, omeletes and whatever else your little heart desires. You can even add it to your childrens food, without them knowing of course!
Everyone should take vitamins and supplements everyday, but to a limit. By juicing you get all the nutrients you need without having to rely on artificial supplements. When in doubt always go natural, your body will thank you!
