Charlies Angels, Dynasty, Falcon Crest era in makeup
I don't know about you but there was something so captivating about the late 70's and 80's era in makeup on T.V. There was something about Jacklyn Smith's makeup on Charlies Angels that really inspired me. It was soft and warm yet alluring. Farrah Fawcett always looked sun kissed and bronzed. Joan Collins makeup on Dynasty was intense yet very feminine. I loved that era in makeup. I remember lots of nude, corals, russet lips paired with copper and rich chocolate brown eye shadows and very warm cheeks. Then there were the bronze goddesses like Farrah and Heather Locklear. There look was bronzed skin, warm cheeks, nude lips, liner and big feathery lashes. They all seemed to have that lit from within glow to there faces. I till this day think this was the best era in makeup. I will be doing a Jacklyn Smith makeup look that I will be posting soon. What was your favorite era in makeup?

I so agree ... it was so simple and feminine. I love how soft it makes those lovely ladies look.

I totally agree with you on the makeup of the 70/80's era...they had a "less is more" kind of approach...I remember as a teenager trying to get my blush to go like that...LOL
