I am a tea Fanatic!
I have been drinking tea since the age of 7. Mostly just Lipton, till I discovered that Lipton wasn't the only tea in the world and my love affair with tea began. Every morning I still have that reliable cup of hot Lipton Tea with two sugars. I can't start my day without it. Then mid-morning I have my cup of Green Tea with honey(ooooh delightful!) Now recently I have discovered a tea drinkers heaven on earth, Teavana! They have every tea you can imagine. When I first moved to the suburbs away from my beloved New York City I had to find a way to get to what they called a mall. When I finally got my license at the ripe old age of 32, because in New York there is no need for a car, I finally found my way to the mall. It took me two years to muster up the guts to get on a highway but I did for my beloved tea. There I was standing at the gates of heaven, the aroma of tea hit me from every angle. I started to sweat, I have to have every tea in this joint I thought! I quickly calmed myself down and grabbed a pamphlet. Wow!Pina colada tea, Gingerbread cookie tea, Jasmine Dragon Pheonix Pearls, I felt like I had just become apart of a secret society, I mean come on Dragon Pearls! When I got my bearings enough to walk in I quickly spotted the tea pots, oh my, beautiful cast iron tea pots just whistling my name! The next thing I noticed was a tea called Monkey Picked Oolong, excuse me, monkey what I thought. Then I learned that it's name refers to Buddhist monks who trained monkeys to harvest young leaves from the top of the wild tea treas. I thought the girl was playing with me because she seen my reaction when I entered my private heaven, but no it was true. To make a long story short. I will forever be loyal to my tea leaves and the experience I had that day at Teavana, in the name of tea i will forever be loyal. LOL, no but it's true I'm a tea fanatic, it gets me throught my worst days. Its always been a friend and true friends are hard to come by, right. Is anyone else a tea fanatic like me. If so comment and let me know what teas you like. Chau for now!

Girls, when choosing skincare and makeup try avoiding the following chemicals
Avoid these ingredients in all cosmetic products especially on your babies.
1.Sulfates
2.Urea
3.Glycol
4.Ethyl Alchohol
5.Parabens
6.Propylene Glycol(avoid especially in baby wipes because it can be irritating)
7.Fragrances
8.Phthalates(Linked to developmental and reproductive health issues)
9.Dea,Tea and Mea(When combined with nitrates can be highly carcinogenic)
I'm not saying its always best to buy organic or natural products because there are no standard for what(natural means)and it can cause irritation too. Atleast avoid the products in this list. We have to start ridding our bodies of all these chemicals.
I'm not trying to scare you guys, I just want us girls to be informed and knowledgeable about what we put on our skin, which in turn ultimately gets absorbed into our bodies.I know its not going to stop me from buying cosmetics, lord no, but now we can make an educated decision. Cheers to health!

Hold the Phone!
A couple of weeks ago I did a review on Oil Of Olay PROx Wrinkle Protocol. It was a promising study and consumer results were impressive. Something else however had caught my eye. The Product is the new advanced Prevage Face anti-aging serum. It contains a powerful antioxidant called Idebenone. Idebenone is the most powerful antioxidant available today, with an EPF rating of 95 out of 100, to address the effects of oxidation on skin, a leading cause of aging. An EPF rating is the Enviromental Protection Factor of the product. For example, protection against the sun, smoking, pollution, poor diet and stress. Idbenone is more powerful than other common antioxidants such as Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C, Kinetin, Vitamin E and Coenzyme Q10. It diminishes the appearance of lines, wrinkles, minor scars, redness, agespots, discolorations. It improves the look of firmness, texture, tone, radiance and sundamaged skin. The advanced formula is safe on all skin types. Prevage was reformulated to be gentle on most skin types without causing irritation. There are a few products in the line such as Prevage Face Anti-aging Serum, Prevage Day Ultra Protection SPF 30 for a day cream, Prevage Eye Anti-aging moisturizing treatment, Prevage Night Anti-aging recovery cream. I was in Macys the other day and got a sample of Prevag Face. I have used it for two nights and I am blown away! My skin is so soft, luminous, smooth and brightened. My skin never looks like that! Now I have only used it twice so I have to remain cautious for any skin irritation but so far so good. Its really is amazing. I strongly suggest getting a sample yourselves. You can purchase this product or obtain samples at any Elizabeth Arden counter. I suggest you mention your a Beauty Blogger and that you want to review the product. For some reason or another when you say that they tend to want to help you out. In previous situations when I ask for a sample without stating I'm a Beauty Blogger they look at me like I have two heads! Good luck! This product is really exciting me and as I have mentioned in the past I'm a sinical, hard ass New Yorker who doesn't get excited over products easily. I was not paid to write this and I was not sent this product to review. I discovered this product myself. I am always on the look out for the next best skincare product. I am obsessed with skincare so I really do my research. I used to sit in Barnes and Nobles for 4 hours every friday and just read skincare books and alternative medicine books looking for the answers to my skincare woes. I have too much information floating around in my head, Hence my Beauty Blog, I have to share my knowledge with the world. Whats the sense of obtaining knowledge if your not gonna share it with people. I love helping people look and feel there best. Again, look into this product it's really amazing.

Illamasqua Blushers!
Illamasqua has what I think are the best blushes. The color payoff is phenomenal. The colors are to die for! I am obsessed with purchasing every color they have. My favorites right now are Tweak, Lover, Panic and Excite. There a little pricey but you don't have to use much so they will last a while. They also have great staying power, I put it on in the morning and at 11pm my blush still looks vibrant as if I had just put it on. These are definitely the best blushes out there by far. Check them out at Sephora. Test it out, go on with your day and see how this blush lasts. Tweak and Excite are my favorites. I will soon be trying there cream blushes soon and I will write a review. What are your favorite blushes?

Believe the hype!
Olay Professionals had a scientific study published in the British Journal of Dermatology to support its position as one of todays leading anti-aging skincare brand. The study was a collaboration of physicians at Columbia University and the University of Miami- showed that 58% of the 196 female participants experienced more of a visible change in skin wrinkles using Olay's Professional Pro x line than a group using Tretinoin, which is my holy grail in skin care products. So to say the least i am skeptical of this finding. The woman also claimed the lines around there eyes improved 17% oppose to the 11% with tretinoin. Participants were between the ages of 40-65, possessing moderate to severe wrinkling. Now this is exciting, I have always respected the Oil Of Olay line. The participants were examined via high resolution digital imaging, marking one of the first studies of its kind to compare an over-the-counter drugstore item with a prescription grade product. There was even a debate whether to have such an active product available on your drug store shelf. It retails for $42-$62. Purchase this product at CVS where they have a pretty good return policy in case this does not perform well on your skin. I am however sold for the time being and will be purchasing this product. I will be doing a review on it myself. I am a pretty hard person to please when it comes to seeing results. The product is called Oil of Olay Professional PROx-Intesive Wrinkle Protocol.

I am on a mission to find Mac Pro Blush in Salsa Rose
I have been on a mission to find this beautiful blusher shade by Mac in Salsa Rose. I have seen it on You tube on Pixi2woo's channel and ever since i have been obsessed. I cant find it on Ebay or the Mac store. If anyone knows how i can get my hand on this little gem please give me a shout out! I will be forever thankful!
My new favorite products!
I have some new products i am loving! First i will start with skincare- Befine Brown sugar, honey and oatmeal scrub, this stuff is amazing! Its all natural and the scrubbing particles melt in to your skin when its done exfoliating. It's safe enough to use everyday. My skin is baby smooth without any irritation like with most scrubs. I am also loving Oil of Olay Eye Lifting Serum. This eyecream allows your concealer to go on so smooth. Your eyes look refreshed just minutes after using this product. It also brightens your under eye circles. As for makeup, I really love the Revlon Soft Nude lipcolor. It's really the perfect nude. I find it goes lovely with Revlons Colorstay Lipliner in Rose. I also purchased the NYC Bronzing Powder in Sunny and it really is a great Bronzer. At first I wasn't really buying all the hype I was hearing but now I'm a believer. A cheek color I'm adoring right now is Stila Convertible Duo Lip and Cheek Cream in Lillium. OMG! I love applying this after the NYC Broner on the apples of my cheek. Its so natural and gives such a beautiful pinky mauve color. It really blends nicely with the bronzer. Another lippie I'm crushing on is NYC lipstick in Chiffon. Its a light pink shimmery color that goes beautiful over Revlon Soft Nude lipstick. Its only 99 cents! You can't beat that. Oh i forgot to mention my all time love right now and it is my beloved Retin-A. This product is doing amazing things for my skin. I love how it just peels away all the damage i have done. Its smooths and evens my skintone. It's like magic in a bottle. I am purchasing a new camera soon and I will be able to start swatching, thank god.
Until then, do you have any new favorite products? I live to hear about new products, its one of my favortie Beauty Blogger Posts!

Mean girls!
I have a 15 Year old daughter who is obsessed with having the right friends, clothes, hair, makeup, ect... Having all these things does not exclude you from the torment and abuse girls lay on each other daily. For example, girls these days size each other up within seconds of meeting each other. They comment on each others clothes, hair, makeup and who hangs out with who. My daughter came home the other day crying because she worked so hard to get her hair straight and when she got to school her friends said she looked better with curly hair. They also told her she looked better without her glasses and that she should loose the old lady coat she was wearing. How on earth did girls get so judgemental! Where are they learning this? Is it the parents or is it society. I mean take MTV for instance, everything is focused on materialistic things. For instance, the show "Teen Cribs" where kids show off there extravagant homes with horses in the backyard for godsakes! Or how about the show "My Sweet Sixteen" where parents throw lavish not mention outrageously over priced birthday parties for there teeny bopper. Kids see this and it gives them a sense of entitlement. Girls are definitely the ones hit hardest in this media tyrade. How about the show "Bad Girls Club" I walked in on my daugher watching this train wreck of a show. Two girls were beating each other up dressed like prostitutes. I immediatley put the parental block on. What message is that sending and thats on the Oxygen Network which i thought was like my beloved Lifetime channel. Everywhere you look whether it's you tube or MTV or in school girls are being mean and judgemental to each other. How did our girls become so jealous, backstabbing, superficial and just out right mean! I'll tell you though, this blogging community has given me some hope that women and girls can come together for a cause, even if its about a lipstick. We have the capabilities of being compassionate, friendly, caring and loving community. For now though i have to teach my daughter to ignore the mean girls and focus on the good girls! Most of us girls grow up to be loving wonderful women and mothers who know better. Has anyone had a mean girl experience? My daughter would love to know she's not alone!
